Traditional Skills, Modern Understanding

Working on listed and heritage buildings requires expertise, patience, and a thorough understanding of historical architecture. Our craftsmen are trained in traditional timber framing and joinery, ensuring every replacement or repair blends seamlessly with the original structure.

We source matching green and seasoned oak from certified suppliers and use time-honoured joinery techniques to maintain the building’s authenticity while improving its structural stability.

When required, we collaborate closely with conservation officers, architects, and heritage consultants to ensure all work meets official guidelines and approvals.

Paul Kurowski (Church Curator)

Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Dave Matthews and his team were very professional and knowledgeable in their approach to the work in our Grade I Listed Church. They were proactive in resolving issues and cooperated well with the other contractors and the Church Architect. The work was completed to a very high standard and exceded the Church Architect's expectations. It is a shame that the excellent joinery work had to be covered with lath and plaster! They met the project deadlines and came within the agreed budget. I will employ them again when necessary.

"We used Oak Homes Joinery to put in a new roof in our 16th century old Bakery. The large oak structure is stunning and has certainly given our building the 'wow factor' we wanted."
