We were asked to design a substantial repair to the truss feet along one side of an aisle at East Budleigh’s All Saints Church. The oak trusses had rotted out due to leaks in the guttering over the years and the structure was in iminent danger of collapse. This grade 1 listed building was the original church that Sir Francis Drake would have used. We deigned a strong structural repair with bolted on components and the final plaster work repairs were carried out by the excellent team at Abacus stone in Exeter. The roof should now remain sound for another 500 years.
