A short video of this frame being erected. Frame was completed in February this year from architects plans. Nearly erected in one day but due to short daylight had to finish next day.
- Fresh sawn oak ready to be worked
- Assembly of wall layout. Marking the muntins for glazing
- The first cutting of a sling brace produced this mighty crack as the tensions in the timber were released during cutting. A new piece had to be obtained.
- Trying the gable end cross-frame assembly
- The assembled rooflight framing with trimming and trimmed rafters.
- The entire frame stacked in the yard ready to go to site
- An extreemly wet February site. As layout begins.
- The centre piece sling brace truss assembled
- The frame continues to grow
- With the help of a crane the cross-frames and walls go up
- The main frame and connecting arms are complete.
- A view down the aisle ready for the external shell and rafters.
